An auto-steering display is the visible part of a larger control loop. Positioning, correction delivery, steering hardware, vehicle signals and operator feedback must continue to agree as the tractor works.
Make positioning state understandable
The operator needs more than a map. The interface should show whether the solution is fixed, floating or uncorrected, what guidance line is active and what action is required after an interruption.
Design the power and recovery sequence
Engine starts, key cycles and temporary coverage loss are normal field events. Define what the terminal saves, how the application restarts and when steering control may safely resume.
Select the screen around the cab
Compact 7-inch platforms can suit focused guidance tasks, while 10- and 12-inch terminals provide more room for maps, implement data and camera views. Mounting space and viewing distance decide more than the diagonal alone.
